There was a discussion on the tatting lists about shuttle winders. So for those who are interested, here is my fancy, high tech shuttle winder . . . .
It's cheap, it works and I always have plenty of coffee can lids around.

I love it because it is very inexpensive and resourceful!
This is wonderful! I get so frustrated dropping my shuttle when I am trying to wind it. Thanks for sharing.
What a clever idea! I think I have some coffee can lids around somewhere... I'll have to try it out!
I have to thank Tracey Jackson (The Lacemaker - www.lacemakerusa.com )& Diane Jenkins for the idea. I took classes from Diane at The Lacemaker shop and she told us about the lid winder. :)
Can you please give me more instructions how this shuttle winder is made...do you just put a slit in the plastic lid??
Thanks in advance
Joy
